I purchased my M14 in August with original 25w charger.
Till February it charges 20%battery in just 15 minutes but from March it charges only8-10% in 15 minutes
I think this problem arises with February Security Update which I received on 28feb.
On 20 March I received another stability improvement Update, but nothing happened charging is still slow.

I tried every troubleshooting steps but nothing happened.
I restarted
Everything is up to date
Fast charging is enabled since I purchased

So what's the issue 😕 🤔

Aniket It looks like the February update affected your M14's charging speed . Since you've tried all troubleshooting steps, here are a few more things to check:

Check Cable & Adapter – Try a different 25W charger & USB-C cable to rule out hardware issues.
Clean Charging Port – Dust/debris can slow down charging. Use a soft brush or compressed air.
Charge in Safe Mode – Boot into Safe Mode and see if charging improves. If yes, a third-party app may be the culprit.
Monitor Temperature – If your phone is warm 🥵, it may throttle charging speed to prevent overheating.
Samsung Members App – Run a diagnostic test in the Samsung Members app to check battery health.

If nothing works, Samsung might need to fix this in an update 📢. Keep an eye out for future patches!

Thank you for providing such detailed information regarding your M14’s charging behavior. I understand how frustrating it is when your device no longer charges as quickly as before, especially after a software update.

What We Know So Far

Based on feedback from our community and preliminary findings, there have been reports from several users noting that the February Security Update (received around February 28) appears to have affected the charging speed on some devices. Many have observed a decrease from approximately 20% in 15 minutes to around 8–10% in the same period. This change might be related to modifications in the battery management system or power delivery algorithms implemented in the update.

Potential Causes Software Adjustments: Sometimes, security or stability updates adjust certain parameters to enhance battery longevity or protect device components, which can unintentionally reduce the peak fast charging rate. Bug or Calibration Issue: There is a possibility that the update introduced a bug or altered how the device calibrates its battery charging, leading to slower charge speeds. What You Can Do Next

Since you mentioned that you’ve already tried standard troubleshooting steps (including restarting and ensuring that Fast Charging is enabled), here are a few additional suggestions:

Clear the Cache Partition:
Clearing the cache partition can sometimes resolve residual issues post-update. This process doesn’t delete your personal data but can help remove any temporary files that might be causing the problem.

Safe Mode Boot:
Booting your device in Safe Mode can help determine if any third-party apps are interfering with the charging process. If the charging speed improves in Safe Mode, an app conflict might be contributing to the issue.

Report the Issue:
Your feedback is very valuable. I recommend reporting this issue through our official Samsung Members App or contacting our technical support directly so that our engineering team can investigate further. Our teams are actively monitoring such feedback to determine if a patch or further update is necessary.

Our Next Steps

While there isn’t a dedicated patch available at this time specifically to address the charging speed issue, rest assured that your report has been escalated. We are monitoring similar cases and will work towards an effective resolution in upcoming updates if the issue is confirmed to be widespread.

I’ve also come across community discussions and official notices that suggest such issues might be resolved in future updates once further optimizations are made .

If you’d like, I can assist you further with the steps to clear the cache partition or any other troubleshooting guidance. Please let me know if you have any questions or if there’s anything else I can help you with.

Thank you for your patience and for being a valued Samsung customer.

Sincerely,
Samsung Customer Support
