I had been keeping few personal pics in android folder of my SD card from years.. nearly 8 years now. After this update, i lost each & every pic i had saved. It was my personal data, how can samsung delete it?
I have tried using third party apps. But still won't work. It feels like i made the biggest mistake of my life by choosing samsung. Someone help🙏

idk bro.. i even accessed those pics 20 days ago. i often open those folders though.. after update today i just casually opened files to see them, just to see what, all files.. even folders are not there..
Even samsung has some policy updates, how can it access & change settings of my SD card without permissions?

I tell you something to check that your data won't be deleted if you didn't format your mobile,
1- Insert SD card in any other mobile
2- check Storage info ( How many Storage data has been used and left too)
3- It must have been in that in a single folder
Now you can copy your data in your mobile and take backup in Google drive.

Accept me as solution by clicking on 3 dots on my comment if I have given you right solution 🙏🙏🙏

Sure but don't format it, even when you will insert it in some mobile, they may ask to format but don't format you can loose your data, you should insert in laptop through USB, If still you you won't get I will give you special app by which you can restore data 🙂🙂🙂

You have to keep your personal contents in a seperate folder other than system folders. System might have thought that data stored in Android folder is not important and deleted that automatically, because storage booster has a feature of automatically deleting unwanted folders/data.

dude first of all it was in SD card.. secondly pics saved in android folder doesn't show in gallery.. so there wasn't any need of hiding any folder or anything.. idk about other phones by i had these features in oppo f1s which i used for 5 years.
but here point is, ok i agree samsung updates its terms & policies according to them of their "PHONE" but how can change anything that is in an external expandable memory card ??
