i read it some where that for Android update you have to be at least 2Gb of ram.

if you have't so your phone gone to be hang.
is that true?

Hi,
Software updates means no hardware change required. Galaxy J7 has 1.5GB RAM so android update are implemented according to that. Marshmallow is released for J7 and it compatible with existing hardware. So install and enjoy the new features. :)
