Downgrade is possible using ODIN tools, and requires technical expertise.
Drown grading will not help in recovering storage space, you may try to do a factory reset, and uninstalling all bloatware applications.

Every month i do factory reset. But after 2 to 3 days it get full of space. I do not have too much application only whatsapp install in this mobile.
