Hey guys

I am abruptly seeing the 'No SIM Card detected' error in my Galaxy F34 5G. I restarted the phone, put it in flight mode and even reset mobile data settings, but it still detects no SIM card. I guess it is an issue with the SIM 1 slot, as that is where my SIM is inserted.

I had this issue with my previous Galaxy A50, and sidestepped it by placing the SIM card into SIM 2 slot. But, I still want to fix it, if I can. Is there any way to possibly fix the slot other than the service center? And I don't want to go through factory reset.

Please help

Try blowing some air, shake it a bit, or watch some video on yt how to troubleshoot.

as you don't want to visit service centre and any local repair shop, there isn't much for you to do.

Update: I took out the SIM tray and put it back as is at around 6 pm. It worked for an hour or two, then stopped working again.

So, I sidestepped the issue by doing the same thing I did with the A50 - put the SIM card into SIM 2 slot and it's now in tip top shape.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue.

● Please follow the below steps:
1: You can try to restart your phone.
2: First, we need to determine whether the error is with the SIM card or the SIM card slot, and You will need to prepare either another phone or another SIM card to perform this.

● Either one of the devices will determine the possibility of the issue.

1- Existing SIM card with another phone.
If Detectable, Possible, the existing phone's SIM Slot may be faulty. Please send it to the nearest service centre.
If not Detectable, Possible, that the SIM card is faulty. Please refer to the Telco provider.
2-Existing phone with new SIM Card
If Detectable, the SIM slot is not faulty. This may be caused by an existing SIM card faulty. Please refer to the Telco provider.
If not Detectable, Possible, the existing phone's SIM slot may be faulty. Please send to nearest service centre.

Note.
1: Please restart the phone after changing the SIM card to allow the system to detect.
2: Kindly ensure both testing devices function well before testing.

● Kindly contact your network service provider once to make sure there is no issue from their end.

In case the issue still occurs, kindly visit the service centre for a physical inspection of your device. You can locate your nearest service centre with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/

I have only 1 SIM card, and that's what I do... put the SIM card in the other slot.

You can try

Have you checked if SIM is active or not in any other phone ?

If yes, then putting it in other slot will be temporary solution but you might have to get it fixed in future.

I know it is active, cuz it's working in the SIM 2 Slot.

Yeah, I'll see whether I'll replace it when it can't be detected at all, or just buy a new one 🙂
