USB unmount option not available

After ONE UI 3.1 update on Galaxy A50 the unmount option for external storage device is not available. If i unplug it anyways restart warning pops up

• Open Device care app and then go to storage there and you can find it there

Solved for Android 12, latest version. Using the app CX Explorer, if you long press on the OTG Connected device it will offer you a Settings option. Choose that, and it will bring up the device in the Samsung screen, with a big blue Unmount button. Not sure why it's impossible to get to via any of the device settings menu.

On my Galaxy Tab A8 with a hard drive formatted to FAT32, clearing the cache of the usb settings app did not work, but formatting the drive did. I can now unmount the drive from the notification shade.

The CX explorer app could also unmount, but it caused unsafe unmounts, so I don't think it's a good option for everybody. Unfortunately, formatting the drive will be troublesome in many circumstances too.

I think it's retarded that such a critical function is so hard to find. 

Perhaps, why not have both?

What I do now is to use the default Samsung myfiles app and in the home screen of the app, you can see the internal and well as external storage option. Adjacent to the external storage.. most probably "OTG" in everyone's case, there is an option to unmount..

But unfortunately I can't find it on notification panel which is sad for one the best Android UI's 🤦
