Galaxy ADear Samsung Member,
Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!
As per your concern, we would like to inform you that when the phone is used for both receiving and transmitting data at the same time, it can lead to high data throughput and put the modem under heavy load, causing the phone to heat up. Therefore, it is normal for the phone to heat up after the hotspot is turned on.
However, Kindly perform the following steps to resolve your issue by the given links if you are facing more than a heating issue.
Galaxy device heating issue: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/why-the-device-heats-up-during-use/
Update the software if available: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-smartphone-how-to-update-software/
You can reset your device by following the steps from the below link.
