Hi guys,

Long story short, my Samsung A51's screen broke and sent it for repairs. It took really long to get it back. Anyway, once I got it back, I was using it normally and it was charging normally.

Then, it suddenly happened that my phone stopped charging.

I tried cleaning the port and using another USB type-C and another power brick. It still won't work.

I turned it off out of despair, came back an hour later and it's now charging.

I tried deleting the cache partition. It worked, however, it didn't stay that way too long.

So, I ended up doing a factory reset on my phone(assuming that the problem is the software?). And to my surprise, it worked, and it's still working until... my phone started updating on its own. And now I'm back to square one, it won't charge again.

I experimented a couple of times, and came back with my speculated results:

  • It won't charge after heating it up (e.g. Gaming for long hours), and charges when it cools down
  • It won't charge in hours when it's really cold in my area.
