Kindly perform the following steps to resolve your proximity sensor not working issue.
1- Remove the screen protectors and cover from the device once and check the issue after restarting the device.
2- Check for Dust or A Crack on the Screen Sensor.
3- Restart the device: Press & hold the power key> Restart> Tap again to Restart.
4-Update the software if available: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-smartphone-how-to-update-software/
5- You can reset your device by following the steps from the below link.
