One UI 6.1 update

Is the samsung A24 going to get the One UI 6.1 update in south africa 🇿🇦???

It will probably be sometime during June or July. The A series is very low down the pecking order and because SA even takes a month or two for flagship updates the A series tends to fall behind very far.

This is how this Samsung discrimination system works:
(1) Samsung gives Western countries the OS/UI update first.
(2) 3-4 weeks later is India and Asia.
(3) South Africa gets it 6 months later.

Right now, my brand new S24 Ultra can not get Good Lock App from the South African Galaxy Store. Neither is FineLock available from the Google Playstore as I write this. Customer Care does not know when or if ever.

Who do they think we are? Punishing African countries because we are Africans? I hope South Africa's equivalent of FCC and BBC Africa will be made aware of what Samsung does, even to premium S24 Ultra owners.

Don't buy your S24 in Africa.
