This is honestly disappointing for real, giving a phone 6 years of security and os updates only for the first major update to start giving issues.

This issue is common to phones which use the processor: helio g99, I've seen A07 users, A15 users, A16 users, and A24 users complain about this issue but i personally use the A07 model.

These complaints have gone on for almost 5 months and yet no patch or bug fixes for this issue

I can honestly understand my background apps getting killed buh its a very big pain using an app only for it to be killed randomly.

For people like myself who enjoys playing games, this is very hurtful to bear, the pain of waiting for security updates every single month and even after getting the update it does absolutely nothing but makes the phone worse, an example is that before the February update users could enter recovery to clear cache partition to help minimise the crashes only for samsung to reap it out of the recovery menu.

Honestly, as a college student I have no source of income, before my dad got me this phone around New years, he asked me to choose between an 11 pro and the Samsung a07, I chose the A07 because of the love I have for samsung products.

The phone was fine and alright when I started using it, it was on one ui 7 then, but I noticed an issue where if I leave an app then open another and try to go back to the previous app I was in, The app ends up restarting.

I was a bit annoyed by this issue then I realised that the one ui 8 update was already available, so I decided to update it, little did I know that I just made a grave mistake.

Well honestly I'd give anything to go back to my apps restarting after I leave them to my games crashing randomly.

Since I went into one ui 8, I had tried numerous possible fixes like clearing caches, force stopping, updating webview and Google play services, updating Google play system, using adb tweaks, And yet nothing works to fix this issue.

It's honestly funny the fact that this phone will reach android 21😂. I hope i don't lose the remaining hope i have for samsung.

If any one ui dev or moderator see this please 🙏 😭 help us, the situation we're going through is highly fraustrating 😭. This problem occurs one even free fire😭🤲

Edit: Has it been resolved on oneui 8.5?

A07 is an entry level budget phone, it's not a powerhouse

You don't understand what's happening its beyond lag, i could just be in the game lobby only for the game to crash 2 seconds after

This wasn't happening while using one ui 7

I can't even play games on my phone because it keeps crashing. Putting apps in deep sleep doesn't even work. It's sad we can't even enjoy our phones😭

Deep Sleep prevents apps from running in the background. It would not do anything when an app needs more RAM than you have.

The issue here is the hardware floor. These models also have 6GB or 8GB RAM variants that handle One UI 8 much better. 4GB is unfortunately the absolute minimum for Android 16, and background apps are the first thing the system kills to keep the phone running. Even then, apps will crash if they need more then there is to use.
It's a tough lesson on budget vs. performance: an older flagship is always better than a brand-new entry-level phone from any brand. For future reference, checking the RAM specs and benchmarks for specific games is the only way to avoid this 'budget trap' when choosing between a new entry-level and an older high-end device.

Then why did the one ui moderators give a phone 6 years of updates on a 4gb ram variant knowing fully well that it won't be able to carry it.

It's like trying to give a PlayStation 5 update to a PlayStation 3

The PS5 analogy is dead wrong. Those are different in every way. The only difference here is RAM and 4GB meets the min requirements for the Android16. Like others have said, it's not a powerhouse, but it works. I don't know what the minimum would be in 6 years but it's better than what people used to get.
Back in 2019, an A01 was unsupported after 2 years. Now, someone on that budget actually gets a phone that stays secure and usable for a over half a decade. That’s a win for them.

Do you think if the OS was "light", "heavy" games would run smoothly on that phone?
