Galaxy AMake sure voicemail is activated on your mobile plan. Some carriers (especially in India) require you to manually enable it via USSD code or customer care.
Airtel: Dial 121 or SMS START VMS to 52567
Jio: Voicemail is not officially supported
Vi (Vodafone Idea): Call 199 to enable voicemail
BSNL: Dial 17000 to activate voicemail
---
✅ Step 2: Set Up Voicemail in the Phone App
1. Open the Phone app.
2. Tap the three-dot menu (top-right) > Settings.
3. Tap Voicemail.
4. Tap Voicemail settings.
5. Enter your voicemail number (provided by your carrier).
For example:
Airtel: 98101 12345
Vi: 98010 12345
BSNL: 17000
6. Tap OK to save.
---
✅ Step 3: Call Your Voicemail
1. Press and hold 1 in the Phone dialer.
2. Your voicemail inbox will be dialed.
3. Follow the prompts to record a greeting, set a PIN, and manage messages.
---
✅ Optional: Use Visual Voicemail (If Supported)
Some carriers offer Visual Voicemail (text list of voicemails), but many in India do not support it yet on Samsung devices. If you're in the U.S. or EU:
1. Go to Phone app > Settings > Voicemail > Visual Voicemail.
2. Toggle it ON (if available).
3. You may need a carrier-specific app (e.g., T-Mobile Voicemail, My Airtel).
