I have faced such situations various times on my devices so heres my solution: Go in app info of chrome than clear data and force stop and then launch the chrome most of the time this trick helps to fix this issue.Do try and let know about did it work or not.
this all comments works like clear data,etc. but after the last update of chrome there's too much crash so do use other browser for sometime till Google chrome's new update rolls out i am using opera for secondary Browser
