I have the Galaxy A24 128G. Not much to complain about so far except the Google Assistant feature which is normally activated by the phrase "Hey google" for voice searches... instead it just takes me to Google search menu... why?

It's really no need for all that. They just need to change their language option from the normal English to Eng US or NZ etc. It will then work, I struggled for days on end and came across a similar fix but the language worked for me and some others as well.

The problem started when Gemini was released as an assistant alongside Google Assistant.

If you want you can retrain your voice by removing it, but the simple fix is to change your language to Eng US or NZ or UK etc.

I use Gemini as my assistant now.
