Galaxy AThe Galaxy A52s 5G is one of Samsung’s best value-for-money phones of 2021. It’s nearly perfect for what it set out to achieve, but some users are now reporting an issue related to the phone’s charging information screen. According to a few posts on the official Samsung Community forums, the problem is that the Galaxy A52s 5G’s display is too bright when the charging information is shown with the screen turned off.
Reportedly, the screen is bright enough to create the impression of a backlight. Of course, that’s technically incorrect, as the Galaxy A52s features a Super AMOLED display, and AMOLED panels don’t have a backlight. The pixels illuminate or dim individually, which is one of the technology’s greatest strengths. It’s what makes AOD (Always-On Display) possible.
It’s probably a firmware issue
Community members suggest that the issue is likely related to the phone’s firmware rather than faulty hardware, which makes sense, given the AMOLED panel’s attributes. However, there are no sample pictures to look through, so we’re not sure just how bright the display gets when the charging information is shown.
We checked our Galaxy A52s for this problem, but we haven’t seen anything out of the ordinary. Everything works as intended, so if the issue exists, it may affect only a limited number of devices. Is your Samsung phone working properly? Let me know in the comment section below.
The Galaxy A52s runs Android 11 and One UI 3.1. It’s waiting in line for Android 12 and One UI 4.0, which could be rolling out in February.
