Any idea why google app is always running in background?

Hey friends, recently the google app has been running in the background FULL TIME and eating up battery. I have checked my earlier battery stat screen shots and it was NEVER the case then. I am noticing this only after recent updates.

Nb: I have put the app to sleep,but to no avail.

I also updated the Google have to the latest version. I am not facing any issues. Do you have the Google search widget? That might me the issue. Try force stopping the app.

Nope, only disabling works.

Maybe because of the search widget? Or google assistant.

I use brave search widget. Yes May be Google assistant is the issue.
