After enabling adaptive brightness from settings, if I bring my device to a brighter place it increases the bright as usual but whenever I bring it back to darker place it doesn't reduce the brightness at all and vice versa. If I lock the device using power button then if I unlock the device, the brightness changes.

Tested devices: Galaxy A13, Galaxy A04s
Software version: One UI core 5.0, (Android13) all up-to-date.
Solution tried: Tried resetting the adaptive brightness setting by clearing data of "Device Health Services" app.

Steps to reproduce the bug: Turn on adaptive brightness from settings, then go to brighter place, then bring your phone to darker place and it doesn't reduce the brightness without relocking and unlocking the device.

If you find that the display dims automatically and you'd like to increase the brightness, try deactivating the Adaptive brightness feature to control the screen brightness yourself.

1 Go to "Settings".

2 Tap "Display".

3 Tap the switch to deactivate "Adaptive brightness".

4 Slide the bar to the right to increase the screen brightness.

In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Error report/Ask questions).

It is an optimization of android 12.so don't worry about It. It is a change after android 12

Optimization?

A definitely poor optimization (if u can call it that).

Adaptive brightness is not working as it's supposed to (by adapting screen brightness according to ambient light).
