Galaxy ADear Samsung member,
Greetings from Samsung customer support.
Thank you for sharing your concern. We acknowledge your query and apologize for the same. And please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.
If you find that the display dims automatically and you'd like to increase the brightness, try deactivating the Adaptive brightness feature to control the screen brightness yourself.
1 Go to "Settings".
2 Tap "Display".
3 Tap the switch to deactivate "Adaptive brightness".
4 Slide the bar to the right to increase the screen brightness.
In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Get help > Send Feedback > Error report/Ask questions).
Thank you for writing to Samsung.
Warm Regards,

Galaxy AOptimization?
A definitely poor optimization (if u can call it that).
Adaptive brightness is not working as it's supposed to (by adapting screen brightness according to ambient light).
