Hi all

I  recently bought A71. I've been having battery draining issues since day one.

The worst is that battery drains overnight with out any use. This does  not happen always but it does happen often.

Last night it lost 24% in 7 hours ,from 68 to 44%.

Please mark that wifi, bluetooth and location are all off.

Phone is always on medium power saving mode.

I tried without sd card in , without gsm card .

I even got a new gsm card just in case old one was faulty.

The worst is this happened even when phone was on maximum power saving mode, it lost 18% once and 20% a second time.

I took phone back to the store , technical department said they updated software/firmware and it should be ok.

Still the same thing.  This is a huge battery this should not happen.

I  think my device has hardware issues.

Do you have any ideas.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

Please perform the below mentioned steps to resolve the issue:

1. Perform Battery Optimization:- Battery optimization helps you to boost the battery performance of your device.
To check battery optimization:- Settings > Select Device Maintenance/Device Care > Optimize > Optimize all options like Battery, Storage and Memory

2. Kindly turn off the smart features of the device and other connectivity features (like advance feature and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.) when not in use, which will eventually help you to reduce battery power consumption). Follow the below steps to turn off: Swipe down on the home screen to open notification panel> Tap on Bluetooth, hotspot, etc. to turn off

3. Device network fluctuation:- Kindly check whether mobile network fluctuates frequently or network signal is low in your area. In both cases battery will drain considerably fast. We recommend you to avoid usage in area with low network/fluctuation.

For further assistance, register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > click on “+“icon > send feedback > error report/ask questions).

Thank you for writing to Samsung.

Warm Regards,

I have my Galaxy A71 for a week now and i am experiencing the same issue on the battery. I charged it to 100% and then after 1 minute it suddenly went to 99% and after 2 minutes went to 98%.

From 91% after 4 hours it went to 81% just being on standby (not using). I am already using optimization of the battery, all apps not in use are in sleep also. I really think there is something wrong in this Galaxy A71 model. I hope Samsung can resolve this issue

Having the same issue, mad drain for no reason.  My battery barely lasts a day at work, I am coming home with 10% battery, my previous phone the p20 pro i'd come home from work with 65-70% battery.  Something badly wrong with this phone considering the massive battery

I'm a battery freak and the reason I bought this A71 is because of good battery reviews. Sadly, it's 4th day since I bought this phone and I'm very much disappointed. My old J7 2016 performs better than this phone after 4 years of usage.

Before you advise me about battery saving measures let me clear it that I have done the following things from the day I got the phone;

> Screen Brightness to 5% all the time.

> Dark mode on from day 1.

> Black solid color Amoled Wallpaper from day 1.

> No location, GPS use.

> Not a gamer at all.

> Always-on display off from day 1.

> Bixby disabled from day 1.

> Animations disabled.

> Not opting to vivid mode because I thought it might consume battery.

> No issue of poor signals on cellular service.

> Battery saving mode on.

I charged my phone to 100% last night and before I sleep I optimized the phone and there was no app running in the background and I even turned off the wifi with Brightness lowered to 5%. I woke up after 5 hours and saw my battery at 96%. The stats show no background app or screen on time but still this battery drop. Why is it happening?

This is about last night. My phone got stuck at 98% and it was there for 25 mins. I plugged out and plugged in again it jumped to 100%.

Phone is amazing but I'm seriously disappointed by the battery life of this phone. I'm not a heavy user. I only use Twitter, Samsung Notes, Chrome to browse and some audios already present in my phone memory.

After half day of very light use of twitter, chrome browsing and samsung notes use, the battery drops to 50%. I have to charge it daily from 50% for my very lite use.

Please help me with this battery issue.

i got the A71 recently and everything is really good except for the battery....its a 4500mah battery but the out put is like a 3000mah.....it drains really quick without any usage....and like samsung recommended to put apps to sleep, optimize, turn off all the things...after that also its the same....one of the members at home have 1+7t and its 3800mah and its so good in terms of battery.... samsung should really look into this bcoz its really an issue now a huge one....other than that everything is awesome.....samsung please look into this.
