Why most of the samsung phones are so developer unfriendly they don't have any custom roms nor official twrp support nothing you just have to stick with you one ui or older phone touchwiz. Xda roms and kernels are one of the essential things to get a android phone suppose if your phone gets old you'll normally not get any update or security patch update but with custom roms and magisk and twrp there's endless possibilities you can even make your 5 year old phone a power house. I have le 2 and redmi note 5 those phones are very old one is 3 year old another one is 5 year but they're running at custom great which are producing great performance battery tweak
Those modifications will make your phone usable even after 6 years. But in Samsung's case it not even support level 3 camera2api wow what a joke a so called high middle range phones don't have level 3 camera2api even having android 10 what a hypocrisy. Even a 8k phone has those features. Redmi realme oneplus are far ahead in terms of development and custom rom support and Samsung still in their cheap old business strategy. Even Redmi's note 8 pro which has a mediatek processor still is has tons of custom rom and kernels just because of their good development support.
Next time I have to think twice to purchase a samsung device.
I'm happy with my device but i should've able to use all raw android and hardware features.
I want to keep my samsung for a long time, because I love the hardware. Not having any choice over what rom my phone runs bothers me. Samsung is the apple of Android....
truly, the onlye drawback samsung has is the poor development support. because in near future after few a year or two when there'll be no update then we've to face big problem no new update nor even security patch but see xiaomi's 6 year old phones are having plenties of custom roms and custom kernels it just shows how greate development xiaomi phones have. but bad luck we can't even have camera2api in 2020 **bleep** really. samsung provides great hardware but only hardware can't provide you great user experience as a android user we've chosen android for everything in control and nowadays custom roms are so much important and needy for everyone from overclocking to different beautiful roms and kernels to get the real power of the device.
