I’ve been using my Samsung S23 Ultra for just over 2 years, and now suddenly a green line has appeared on the display. There’s been no physical damage, no water exposure — just normal daily usage. After doing some research, it seems this is a common issue with Samsung OLED panels, even on premium flagship devices. It’s extremely disappointing, especially for a phone that cost so much and was supposed to be durable.

Samsung needs to acknowledge and address this issue properly. We deserve a free screen replacement or repair — especially since this appears to be a manufacturing defect.

If anyone else is facing the same issue, please comment and share your experience. Let's make some noise so Samsung takes responsibility.

Sir, I think this is their marketing Tactics. I think since its difficult to make so much profit from phone sales, they are purposefully shipping some units which is made to encounter this problem and hope for people to pay and get the screen replaced or it might be their way of making people buy the extended warranty. Either way they get the money. That's all this is. All the stuff they say during the launch events again a gimmick.

I had the same issue on S23 U couple months back. I had to call, email and chat a lot to get my screen replaced. Once I got my phone back from service center my SPen is damaged.

Yeah, sure. You have to go to the service center and ask them to create a job sheet. They will create the job sheet and click photos of your phone from all angles and attach it to the job sheet and upload. They will send you the job sheet to your phone via whatsapp or if they dont you ask them to send the job sheet once it is completed since it takes some time to create(or atleast that what they service center guy told me).
How you take it forward from here and talk to them it's up to you

What i did was. I started with a call to customer support and asked directly for a free screen replacement to which they said "Your phone ia out of warranty, you need to pay"(This back and forth went for a while). So realising there was no point I asked him to connect me to the supervisor to which he kept me on hold and said he is not picking the call and said he would have him call me in 30 mins. The call never came. I waited till 8PM. Then I contacted via WhatsApp chat, to which again I got same "out of warranty" response. After back and forth I asked him to escalate the matter and wanted to talk to the supervisor. It was the same answers all the way "out of warranty". Again after back and forth chats finally he agreed to escalate the matter. He gave me a reference number and said I would receive a call within 48 hours to which I did. Someone from Head Office called and I explained my concern and asked for free replacement. She said she would get back to me in couple days. She called me the next day and said the screen would be replaced for free at the cost of labor charge

May be 3 to 4 days. Repair was done in one day. The part ordered took 3 days I think.
