Hey guys, a quick question...

I see people are complaining about the waiting that they have to do to finally get an update because of the Samsung way of doing things.

So... in terms of "SPEED UPDATES", and since most of you all don't understand why updates don't come out the same time, should Samsung release updates globally on the same day (like Apple) even if there are risks of bugs? What do you guys think?😀

No there won't be bugs, the software is tested rigorously but because of the size of devices these updates are pushed to, it makes it generally impossible.

You just mentioned "software is tested". That means you're basically saying and choosing to wait for Samsung to take time to update.😄

There is a reason for BETA testing😂that is to see if the software is good not for me to wait for any update.

Yea, it is to see if the software is good and that will make you wait. So the question is, do you prefer that Samsung release updates to all phones at once just like Apple (means not wait) or is the thing of testing BETA what you would prefer (which will mean people must wait)

I change phones yearly so I do not come across those problems🙏

It is more safer to release updates in a staged manner. I'm not saying its faster, but its generally safer.

The issue that a lot of people don't understand is that Samsung servers cannot handle releasing the updates to everyone at the same time, that's why they do staged rollouts, regardless of a bug or bug free update. So 'speed updates' don't matter if they don't improve the servers to handle the stress that comes from updating everyone at the same time.

Apple has the advantage of having to update a smaller number of devices since their range is not as varied as Samsung’s.
