I have a Security updated for September pending for update on my s23. Do I have to update it first to receive one ui 8 update? Or one ui 8 update if comes will replace this update?

I have S23 purchased in November 2024...I have heard some got green line issue after March Security update...I am thinking of skipping this update and directly update to ONEUI 7 when it comes...can I do that or I have to install the previous updates ...
