were you able to unlock your device without factory reset? because apparently I'm going thru the same issue after the recent android 16 update on my S24
But no one has access to my PIN and I'm sure the PIN wasn't changed because this issue started from 29th of June and on the 27th June I had unlocked my phone with the same 4 digit pin that I've been using.
