I think the airtel and samsung people are dumb. They might be knowing this but not publicizing it for unknown reasons. This i believe is a problem for other watches also. Not sure how to promote this. Reddit can be an option
For all of your watch supports esim, then activate the airtel esim. For some watches the problem of no service can be manually rectified. First dial *#2263# from your watch dialler. Then select LTE, then again select a band for e.g. select "LTE ALL" ...
