Try charging your phone with a different cable or a different adapter. I was having similar problem with my A50 and I found out that the cable was at fault.
Go for it. My phone got a lot more smoother. The only thing that I do not like now is the notification panel, it looks like a copied version from ios but then it's just my personal opinion.
