Recently note fe got official One UI but It was not considered eligble device on the Pie update list.So there are chances thats s7 also gets an update as both phones have capacitive buttons.

Is this problem with my phone or it doesnt support portrait editing anymore?

Ever since good lock came up back in s6 I was in love with it but as samsung ditched it in nought update i was sad but again in 2k18 it came with full power and now in 2019 it is at level best and using it with one ui is most satisfying experience
