Free replacement will happen only if there are absolutely no scratches on the phone. They will test the phone for scratches of any kind, dents, liquid damage or any cosmetic damage. If you don't have any of these, you are good to go
Yes but even if there is a scratch on the phone, they are not changing it saying it's a physical damage. I don't understand how they can expect an out of warranty phone (say 2 to 3 year old phone) to not have a single scratch on it.
I have the exact same problem. But Samsung will not do the replacement even if there is a single scratch on the phone. They say it's physical damage so you are not eligible.
