My Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 display issue suddenly appeared out of nowhere after updating to Watch UI 5. The service center is not willing to fix it without me paying for it.

Then why you showing here we cannot fix this, go to your service center i mean you have to go there if you want to fix your watch .

I didn't ask you anywhere to fix this, did I? "What's the point of me paying for software updating costing my display" that was my concern

These are not meant for lifetime/forever
If service centre don't attend pls escalate with Samsung. Hope they will help you out.
Consider buying a new, one.
