WearablesHi Team,
From last 5 days my galaxy active 2 watch was rebooting continuously
and now from day before yesterday its not turning on. I have gone to the customer
service team in Thane, India. But they are saying
"Motherboard is damaged due to liquid and its not covered in
warranty, also claimed 7K INR for repair. Howbeit, its actually in
warranty as I purchased this last year in July.
Last time, I used it for running and cycling continuously for 4 months.
Possible liquid which must have got into the product, would be my sweat
or twice/thrice I took it in the shower to clean it in a years time. Also, I understand
the product is waterproof/resistant which the brand claims to be on website and other channels therefore it should not have been
damaged at first place.
Would like to know a solution on warranty claim and explanation about
fragility of the product and wearables like watch could be damaged on
the mentioned reasons. Did not expect something like this could happen. Highly disappointed as its not worth then to purchase such fragile products from samsung
(Its a wearable product and a watch, it needs to be robust and waterproof/resistant; so it needs to work for long period as well).

WearablesI will try this as well.
Currently, I have given my product to them for to repair it at cost. But this time, the team there said that, the new motherboard will not have a guarantee of water resistance which struck me again as now i am putting a new one through samsung so it needs to be capable of resistance as it would be original part.
They said to me they will get back to me with a full proof solution in 10 days time.
Expected it to be covered warranty atleast as they said could have a revised estimate after this second round of analysis.

WearablesMy husband's Active2 watch had same issues after 5 months. he is a runner and works outside and has never worn his watch in shower or pool, etc.
Samsung warranty dept denied the claim for same reasons you mention above. They asked for $220 to repair the LCD screen and I didn't even pay that much for the watch. Six conversations later, with supervisors and inspection tech, no one would send me photos of what the supposed damage looked like. The box even states water-resistant up to 50 meters and to run it under fresh water to clean. What a crock. I am so upset with Samsung that I will NEVER buy another one of their products, and I will be leaving 1 star reviews on every site I can.
