Hey Guys,

It just came out that Titan and SBI is partnering with Canada's Tappy tech payment technologies to make Titan watches with NFC based chips and thus would have capability to do payments on POS machines.

These watches will cost from Rs2995/- to Rs5995/-. So if these players are coming together that would mean RBI is planning to allow wearable payment in India and thus Samsung Pay which is similar NFC based payment should also be allowed.

See this post RBI had made regulations not allowing wearable devices for payments.
Now cleverly Titan has collaborated with SBI to find out a way to implement this but this is also NFC based.
In our Galaxy watch we already have NFC it's just how Samsung will approach the government for this or direclty collaborate with SBI.... don't know.

Why should the customer do that? What about BT users who can't change CSC?
Samsung should enable the features in India region CSC, because we bought the product based on such features (prominently advertised). They kept giving excuses that it was illegal to do NFC payments in India at first, but since 2020 they had no excuse.
