According to leakster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce), the Galaxy Watch 6 series is getting a bump in screen size and resolution. The Galaxy Watch 6 will come in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The 40mm version of the Galaxy Watch 6 will reportedly have a 1.31-inch display with a resolution of 432 x 432 pixels. That’s a jump from the Galaxy Watch 5’s 1.2-inch screen, which has a 396 x 306 pixels resolution. The 44mm version of the Galaxy Watch 6 will reportedly feature a 1.47-inch circular OLED screen with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels. That’s a jump from Galaxy Watch 5’s 1.4-inch screen with 450 x 450 pixels resolution for the 44mm version.
The 40mm version of the upcoming Galaxy Watch will have a 10% jump in screen size and a 19% higher resolution. For the 44mm version of the Galaxy Watch 6, Samsung seems to have increased the screen size by 5%, but the resolution jump is around 13%. So, it is expected that despite an increase in screen size, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will have slightly sharper visuals.
