Hello

I have Samsung C9 Pro using since last 3 years . Since many months I have been facing issue of screen starts flickering (Actually the backlight on/off looks like) below are the symptoms and I am fully convinced that this can not be HW problem. Being in electronic product development for many years , including special function mobile phones. Below are my observations: If someone can work with me they should be able to get to root cause of this.

When problem occurs :

1. Especially when you receive or make call . Regardless weather you used hands-free or not

How it gets away?

2. By multiple time pressing power button . and from lock to unlock problem resolves

Further information :

3. It is absolutely not related to LCD circuit reason : When you power ON display is stable . It starts flickering only when Samsung logo  starts displaying

4. Displays the clock stable when screen is locked . No flicker  anytime

5. When flickers and if I place phone with silicon cover on top of it on an ice pack . Within minute flickering stops ... (Is it HEAT???) .  Please note phone is becoming HOT by the way

6. Phone is fully functional and no other performance issue

7. Already did factory reset once and safe mode . No luck

If someone want to collect LOG and check i can help to do that. I am quite sure if you can root cause this will help in future product also.

Last but not least so far been Samsung loyal customer since started using mobile pones. If this is NOT supported or resolved will be moving to other brand. Time limit - 1 Month

Thanks

Bhaskar

No one will listen to your "time limit". No one will help you here. An old device has started showing its age. I can guarantee that it is a hardware issue because a factory reset didn't help. You can try visiting a service center and ask them to reflash the firmware of your device. If that works, its a software issue, if that doesn't work, its a hardware issue. In the case of a hardware issue, you have to replace the display.
