hard disk connection problem

When I connect my hard drive with phone to transfer files it is automatically detecting charging connected device I have tried to select transfer file option but not working. The same hard disk I am using which I have used before to transfer files. See attachment and help me what setting I do. I have s8 plus model

samsung officially not supporting ntfs file system in their storage / file manager ....
since hdd is ntfs you should go for alternative methods... You can try 3rd party usb plugins like paragon usb mounter along with total commander without root ( i think need purchase)...
