Dear Samsung Team,

As a loyal Galaxy Ultra and Note user, I appreciate Samsung's innovation, but I have concerns regarding the direction of the Ultra series.

1️⃣ Keep the Built-in S Pen – The S Pen is what makes the Ultra series special. Removing it or making it an external accessory (like the Z Fold) ruins the seamless experience. If the S Pen is ever removed, many users (including myself) will be forced to switch to Apple (iPhone + iPad with Apple Pencil).

2️⃣ New Design Language for S26 Ultra – Reusing the S25 Ultra’s body and internals for the S26 Ultra would be a disappointment. While I understand that reusing the metal frame saves costs, users see this as Samsung cutting corners and copying Apple’s strategy of minor yearly upgrades. A true Ultra model should feel new in both design and features.

3️⃣ Stop Following Apple’s Negative Decisions – Samsung mocked Apple for:

  • Removing the charger → Then Samsung did the same.
  • Slowing down older devices → Samsung has also faced similar accusations.
  • Minimal upgrades each year → Samsung is starting to do this with the Ultra lineup.

Samsung should lead in innovation, not follow Apple’s cost-cutting moves.

4️⃣ Stop Region-Locking Features – Many great software and AI features are limited to the USA, UK, and Europe. If customers are paying premium prices for Ultra models, they deserve global access to all new features at launch.

5️⃣ Copying Other Brands Is Acceptable—Only If It Benefits Users – Taking inspiration from others is fine if it improves the user experience. But if Samsung just follows Apple’s profit-driven decisions (removing features, slow updates, region locks), users will start looking elsewhere.

Samsung is known for listening to its community and leading innovation. I hope you consider these points for the future Ultra models and continue to set industry standards rather than follow them.

Sincerely,
RAHUL B ,{Loyal Galaxy Ultra User}.

I'm really not buying point number 4. Samsung is giving the same AI features to everyone regardless of the region. Although for some regions it's not possible due to government restrictions.
For example,
There is a state in US, which banned phones from call recording (saying that it's against privacy). Hence, Samsung was forced to remove the call recording feature from that state.
2nd Example,
I don't exactly remember the country name, but there's a country that implemented a law on every phone company to provide a charger in box, hence Samsung as well as apple were forced to provide charger (even it was just 15 Watt charger)

So, I don't agree with your 4th point, and I have never seen any disparity in providing AI features in Samsung (unlike Apple, which is currently giving AI features in the USA only).

You're absolutely right. AI features being available globally is not some act of generosity from Samsung—it's a strategic move to attract customers and keep up with competition.

Samsung isn’t "gifting" these features to users out of goodwill; they showcased AI as a major selling point to convince people to buy their devices. It’s marketing, not charity. They want users to feel like they’re getting something exclusive, but in reality, they need to push AI features globally to stay relevant in the market.

Apple, on the other hand, is currently limiting AI features to the U.S., which is a classic Apple move—keeping features region-locked to create artificial exclusivity. Samsung isn’t doing that (at least for AI), but they do have region-specific limitations on other features (like ECG, BP monitoring, and call recording) due to legal reasons.

So yeah, AI features being available worldwide isn’t some "special favor"—it’s just good business from Samsung.

I heard they'll (Samsung) charge for AI features after 2025.
Did you hear it?
It's also written on Samsung newsroom article about One UI 7 beta rollout (1 day ago).

Yeah, I’ve heard about it, and Samsung themselves confirmed it in their newsroom article. After 2025, some Galaxy AI features might become paid.

Now, if you think youre dropping some "breaking news," you're just late to the party. It’s common knowledge at this point, and anyone following Samsung news is already aware of it.

Also, charging for AI features isn’t shocking—it’s a business strategy. Companies invest heavily in AI development, so they’ll eventually look for ways to monetize it. The same thing happens with cloud storage, premium software features, and even basic services.

So yeah, we know, it's not a surprise, and it’s not some inside scoop. If Samsung does start charging, people will either pay if they find it useful or just move on. Simple as that.

Also, My point isn’t about whether Samsung will charge for AI features in the future—that’s a separate discussion. What I’m saying is that Samsung has stopped innovating and is just copying Apple when it comes to updates, features, and technology. Instead of creating new designs and groundbreaking features, they’re just following trends set by Apple and other brands for the sake of profit.

Samsung needs to stop copying and start leading. They should focus on bringing fresh, original ideas and making themselves great again, rather than just chasing what other brands are doing.
