Kindly follow the below mentioned step to improve the performance of the device:

 

  1. Check device network mode settings: Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > network mode SIM1 or SIM2 > network mode.
  2. Check network operator settings: Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators > Select automatically > OK > Registered on network.

Note: We recommend to set device network operators as LTE/3G/2G (auto connect) mode. Check device network in open area. Kindly check your device in a different location/network coverage area.

 

For further assistance, register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Samsung Members App > Feedback >Error report > Attach log file for any issue)

I tried the same but didn't work, looks like its a software issue, people are posting issue from more than 6 months but samsung is not releasing proper fix in upcoming releases. It's ridiculous..

I have tried all your above solutions. but no luck with this major of the time it dont accept 4G network and shows 2G network. This is clearly a samsung device issue as lot of users have reported the same. that is the reason people dont buy indian phone because indian company are not capable to manufacture fault free device.

This is temporary solution , after following above process it will work for some time and will give same error later . 100% its bug in samsung mobile m31s , TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO SOLVE IT.. waiting for solution
