camera Light sensor

As I was checking the app usage I found this app is in use for more than 11 hrs. What is this sensor for. Will it consume power and data. Can it be stopped.

by the way its overall consumption
Samsung didn't gave dedicated sensors, and using camera light sensors .
so if you don't need just disable adaptive brightness.
but in my opinion don't worry about it.

This is the Same sensor used by adaptive brightness, face unlock, smartstay etc even if you turn off adaptive brightness still it runs in background but consumes less compared to now.
