The front screen on the Flip 3, on the other hand, is a huge improvement. From being a tiny little window showing time and status info, it now takes up much of the bottom half of the flipped-closed phone, much more elegantly showing status info.

Multitasking for New Apps
On Spotify, for instance, the UI with the phone closed is the same as on any other phone. But open the Fold, and you get a custom, two-paned UI with a menu bar on the left and more content on the right. In Microsoft Teams, if you half-fold the screen closed, you see your presentation on the top half and viewers' reactions on the bottom half.
The Z Fold 3 improves a few noticeable things about the Fold 2's design. The front screen is now brighter and a more responsive 120Hz. The camera bump is much less noticeable. It's still there, but it's narrower and less deep, less likely to get caught on or scratch things. The new hinge design lets the two halves of the phone sit closer to flat against each other.

Device Durability
The devices are tested for 200,000 folds, Samsung says. "We are able to deliver the world's first water-resistant foldable smartphones by implementing the innovative sealing design that our engineering team has come up with," according to Samsung EVP Won-Joon Choi. "We've also increased the durability of our flexible displays by about 80% more than the previous foldables, by redesigning the layer structure and using a new protective film."
The phone runs on a Snapdragon 888 processor and has 12GB of RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage.

The Z Flip 3 has a 1.9-inch, 512-by-260 front screen and flips open to a 6.7-inch, 2,640-by-1,080 120Hz main display. It has a 10MP selfie camera inside, and a dual-camera system on the outside with 12MP regular and wide-angle cameras.
The Flip 3 also runs a Snapdragon 888 in the US, and comes with 8GB RAM, and either 256GB or 512GB storage.
