I just updated my Galaxy M15 5G to One UI 7 and I’m genuinely blown away. Earlier, on Android 14 (One UI 6), I’d occasionally experience lag during heavy tasks—but with One UI 7 it’s completely seamless.
What I love most:
Sleek, subtle animations: Everything feels fluid, from opening apps to swiping between screens.
Cool new widgets: Fresh designs that you can easily customise to suit your home screen.
Redesigned App Drawer: Vertical scrolling is finally native—no more sideways swipes to find apps!
Now Bar: Handy quick-access panel for apps, settings and media controls.
It almost feels like I’m using a custom‐built phone.
One feature I’d love to see next:
A “Side button – press and hold” shortcut. I use Google’s Gemini Assistant all the time, but I still have to open the app manually. In crowded places, voice recognition can struggle, so a long‐press side button shortcut would make accessing Assistant (or any other shortcut) much quicker and more reliable. I know every feature has its challenges, but I hope the dev team can consider adding this in a future update.
