Hello, fellow Samsung Members!

I have a question that has been bugging me for a while. Why don’t phone companies use swappable batteries for their phones?

I mean, wouldn’t it be great if we could just swap out our drained battery with a fully charged one and keep using our phone without interruption? We wouldn’t have to worry about finding a power outlet or carrying a power bank with us. We could also extend the lifespan of our phone by replacing the battery when it wears out.

I know that some older phones used to have this feature, but it seems like most modern phones have sealed batteries that are not removable. Why is that? What are the advantages and disadvantages of having swappable batteries?

Atleast some models should be based on that because one who have the battery life the most priority is just be the paradise for them.

Then no ip rating and with time battery will get lose and you have to put a paper in between them to keep it tight.

With swaping battries, you will loose important feature of IP ratings. Now you can use samsung X cover 6 pro. You can swap batteries there. Disadvantage of swapable battery is no IP rating, less battery backup, less mah, boring to change battery again and again to charge it, back cover will be loose after many times removing it
