Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. We understand your concern and rest be assured that the following steps will help to resolve the hanging issue:-

Note:- If the issue is not resolved by method one then perform next method.

1. Check space availability:- Settings > Device Care > Storage
Check RAM in your device:- Settings > Device care > Memory
To improve the device performance there should be sufficient space and keep at least minimum 20% internal memory free.

2. Clear app cache through Device care:- Settings > Device care > Storage > Clean now.
Clear cache memory of a particular application:- Settings > Apps > Pick the app that you like to clear off the cache memory For eg:- 'Samsung Notes' > Storage > Clear Cache.

3. Close Background Applications by tapping on recent key.

4. Remove third party application:- Settings > Apps > Select the third-party application from Apps Eg. DU Recorder > Uninstall.

5. Remove memory card:- Pull out the tray gently from the tray slot > Remove the memory card > Insert the tray back into the tray slot.

6. Disconnect third party accessories like:- Charger, USB Cable, etc.

7. Disable power saving mode (If available in the device).

8. Check device in safe mode:- Using Safe Mode on a Samsung phone allows you to force the device to run the essential operating system, and disable most 3rd party applications.
To enter in safe mode:- Power off the device > Press and hold the Power key for one or two seconds to turn on the device > When the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume down key.
To exit safe mode: Restart your device.

9. Software Update (if available):- Settings > Software update > Download and install > Checking for software update > Software update available > Download > Downloading updates > Install now > Phone will restart after update.

10. Reset the device and before resetting the device make sure to create data backup of your device via Smart Switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite.
Settings > General Management > Reset.

After performing the troubleshooting steps if the issue still persists, kindly get back to us with additional information- Error log File, Video or Screen-shots. This will help us to further investigate and resolve your concern or you may send an advanced log file which is more helpful for us to know the root cause of the issue by the following steps mentioned below:-

1. Dial the string *#9900#
2. Debug level-->mid--(Phone reboots if changed level)
3. Reproduce the issue.
4. Dial *#9900# -> Run dump state/logcat/modem log -->Copy to sd card.
5. Extract the folder named log from My File and share for analysis of the issue.
