So, we all are familiar with the ES Techno YouTube channel. His videos are very helpful to Samsung users. I too recommend his videos to many. However, recently I saw a video in which he says that the dark mode is bad for our eyes. But, this claim doesn't have any scientific backing or proof. Let's see what the studies say.

According to studies to date, there is no concrete evidence to say that dark mode is either good or bad. For eg: Many suggest dark mode at night. But, people find it natural to read dark texts on white background. Because in the nature we are not used to bright things standing out from dark background. I personally find it difficult to read white texts on black screen. However, there are people who find the opposite comfortable.

Similarly, even during day time there is no proven harms on eyes caused by dark mode. And the vice versa is true too. The dilation of pupil resulted by reading bright texts on dark screens during day time is too minimal to cause any damage. On the contrary, many find it difficult to read bright texts in a dark environment, especially people with issues like Astigmatism.

If anything, a couple of studies states that dark mode during day time can affect your mood because there are very less blue rays emitted while using dark mode, to which our body is used to during day time. Nevertheless, these studies too don't have anything which says that dark mode is bad for eyesight.

So, in summary, it's all about individual comforts and preferences, until there is some scientific evidence and mass studies to prove the opposite. Therefore, if you all are finding it comfortable to use dark mode, feel free to continue. And, if you're finding it easy to use light mode, continue to do so. If you are among the people who find either of these modes tough on your eyes, you would've already found it so.

Another thing is about the battery savings as a result of using dark mode. This is another myth. The savings by using dark mode is very minimal unless, you are someone who uses the phone at full brightness.

These links will help you to get an idea.

Nb: If there are some scientific studies which proves this wrong, pls let me know. I will be glad to accept it. Because at the end of the day it's all about getting right knowledge and helping the community, right?
No hate on ES Techno channel. Just stating my views on this topic.

No it's(mode) available to every amoled device but hidden by the manufacturer itself, coz giving options to consumers might backfire.

Lmaooo, dark mode during day time affects mood due to very less blue light emitted while using dark mode, w.t.f. we have a giant f.ing ball of gas, sun, a star which emits blue light whole day. Blue light is a part of the visible spectrum of light. Visible spectrum in the sense, which a human naked eye can perceive. The light from phone is negligible when the big a** sun lights up earth for a day. Unless you're in a place where sunlight doesn't enter, worry not tubelights emit fair amounts of blue light too.

And astigmatism is a lens disorder, they can't see cleary in the first place because the image formed on their retina is blurred.

Btw pupil in both the eyes know how much to dilate or constrict for the passage of the light onto the retina thereby preventing damage to the retina by light unless if one suffers from pupil abnormalities or iris disorders/diseases/abnormalities or other eye disorders like cataract or glaucoma.

I listed things from the above-listed links. Regarding blue light and dark mode, it's the only thing in the opinion of experts if at all anything is bad with it. That's why I wrote, "if at all anything is there". I just wanted to state all things which I found on this matter. Apart from my views. As I said you are free to provide studies, expert opinion, website links etc to the contrary, which I didn't find in the above comment.

Nb: If it's not that difficult, you can maintain a decent language. I don't remember having any issues with you. Your arrogant tone and provocative words were unwarranted. Is this the way you start a conversation with a stranger? If yes, good for you.

I have MBBS Degree. I was arrogant because how can one forget the sun which emits a lot of blue light. Don't you feel that blue light from phone display is negligible when compared to our surrounding sun light and a tube light in a room.
