The Always On Display (AOD) feature on Samsung phones lets you see important info on your screen without fully waking your phone.
📱 What is Always On Display?
Shows things like time, date, battery status, notifications, and even a custom image or clock style.
The display stays on in a low-power mode when the screen is "off," so you can quickly glance at your phone for key info.
Helps save battery because it only lights up small portions of the screen, typically using OLED technology.
Key Benefits
Check time and notifications without unlocking your phone.
Customize with different clock styles, colors, or even GIFs.
Use it as a personalized screen saver when your phone is idle.
How to Enable or Customize Always On Display
Open Settings.
Tap Lock screen.
Select Always On Display.
Toggle it On.
Choose your preferred clock style, colors, and information to show.
You can also set a schedule for when AOD should be active (e.g., only at night).
Battery Impact
AOD uses minimal battery, but keeping it on 24/7 can slightly reduce battery life.
You can set it to turn off when the phone is in your pocket or face down to save power.
