Don't worry if your device is out of warranty you are also eligible for this.

Not helpful, they heat the battery so much, the phone broke is back cover

Now I'm not covered in warranty

The battery got bloated taking the cover away

Go to service center and ask them will your device get a free replacement as per this scheme. Doesn't matter warranty is over or not as per their T&C the device should be purchased within 3 years and there will be no physical damages. Here your device is not affected with green line so they may be refuse to do so. Update immediately if your device is not updated and pray for occure green line before September 30😁once you got green line you will get screen, battery replacement free of cost excluding labour charges.

Did you tried any foolish things like updating phone after putting it in freezer or holding ice cubes on back panel to cool down the device when the device get's warm/Heat?
I am asking this because extrem cold when device get's heat will melt the glue used in back panel
