Samsung One UI has many useful features, but there is one feature many users are still waiting for — App Lock.
We know Samsung already has Secure Folder, which is a great feature for keeping private apps and files safe.
But Secure Folder is not the same as a simple App Lock.
Secure Folder creates a separate space for apps and files, and this can use additional storage on the phone.
For users who only want to lock an existing app, Secure Folder can feel like an extra step.
Other smartphone brands already offer a simple App Lock feature in their software.
Samsung could add the same feature directly to One UI Settings.
Users could simply select an app and protect it with a PIN, password, or fingerprint.
For example, users could lock WhatsApp, Gallery, Messages, banking apps, or social media apps without moving them to Secure Folder.
This would make app protection much easier and faster.
Samsung could also allow users to choose whether an app should lock every time they leave it or when the phone is locked.
Secure Folder can remain available for advanced privacy, while App Lock could be used for quick and simple protection.
Adding a native App Lock would make One UI more complete, simple, and user-friendly.
Samsung already focuses strongly on privacy and security, so bringing App Lock to One UI would be a useful addition for millions of Galaxy users.
