Samsung, it feels too lazy and unfulfilment experience to wait for next big stable one ui upgrade. That's disappointing. Being enthusiast and value experience and service over other thing. And being staged as big market competitor and holding such a potential. Instead of just going for more sales and more boom in next series. You can try focusing on experience your user have. That cascading effect, the word of mouth, the instinct of refering your product with confidence comes from giving value to each and every individual that trusted you. Specially when the platform is so competitive, and it's nothing you are supposed to do first, the market are already adopting. Say, for an ios update the hype is made and deluvered to all the promised devices. And That's what makes them feel premium and feel valued. And that makes people trust and have mutual respect with the brand. The brand loyalty comes from there.
My personal experience:
Over last few years, I've flewed from apple to google and then samsung, the flagship and valued phones in their fields. My observation is that there is some thing missing in every brand on it's own way. Quickly saying apple is not selling best smartphone, they provide best experience, the brand loyalty is great, they deliver what they promise for their target audience and it's becoming big and big. Their usp is not best tech, but best feeling.
Google pixels on the other hand, sells genuinity, pure and raw experience. The photo experience is unbeatable.
On the other hand samsung, I'll tell you. First of all depends on different customer demographics and needs samsung provides best service. Samsung knows to deliver best thing but don't know how to place or sell it. Recently you've been trying to create a hype or say awareness. But you are failing to provide best experience forward. The promises of being the best is not only about physical product but you have to start from basic by winning trust, loyalty and genuine claims.
