Samsung A50 Fingerprint Scanner issue

Samsung has sent an update couple of weeks ago, since then many users have reported of non-functioning of biometric Fingerprint Scanner. 

After installing the Samsung's latest update, device asked to remove the fingerprint and add it back again for enhanced and smooth Biometric experience; however, post removing the added fingerprint, the biometric scanner rejects the new fingerprint saying that either the finger is not placed properly on the scanner or the scanner is not clean.


It's been more than 2 weeks and Samsung is still not able to resolve this issue. 

If anyone gets any update, kindly update me as well as I am also facing the same issue with my device.

After following that video instructions, I am able to add the fingerprint; however, it's not working the way it should.... waiting for the next update; hope Samsung will fix it

new updation has taken more power full sequrity.so this issue comes to due to it.clean your devise scanner and wash your fingers properly and then try it.

Hi there,

 

Please perform the following steps:

> If any screen guard/tampered glass/protection film is available then first disable the fingerprint settings and then remove the screen guard.

> Once screen guard is removed now register the fingerprint again and check the issue.

> If the problem does not get resolved, run the device in Safe mode and reconfigure the fingerprint.

> If the issue still persists, create data backup and reset the device.

> Make sure to use the central fingerprint parts evenly when you register or scan the fingerprint, so that all portions of fingerprint, including the center and corners have been fully scanned.

>Check for the latest device O/S (Scroll down Notification panel >Settings >Software Update >Download updates manually).

For further assistance, register your concern in Samsung members application (Open Samsung members app >> click on “+“icon > send feedback >> error report / ask question).
