In this post, you'll find solutions to common problems that Android users face. I'll try and keep adding new problems and their solutions, as and when I find a problem reported by a member.
If an app starts to behave abnormally, there are two things to try first:
1. Force stop the app and delete it's cache (not data).
2. Reboot the phone, if step 1 doesn't work.
If these two don't solve the problem, then try the following (as applicable):
1. UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD
Your browser or Play Store (or any app) fails to download files. The reason is an app calledDownload Manager. Every smartphone has a download manager. It is a system app, and usually hidden. All apps that download something need this download manager to work properly.
If an app is unable to download files, but works fine for other activities, it points to a problem with the Download Manager.
SOLUTION: Force stop the Download Manager and delete it's app data. It is safe to do this and your files won't be affected because of this.
2. UNABLE TO INSTALL APPS
Play Store or Galaxy Store or any other app fails to install apps or apk files. The reason is an app calledPackage Installer. Every smartphone has a package Installer. It is a hidden system app. All apps that install another app (or apk) need this package Installer to work properly.
SOLUTION: Force stop the Package Installer and delete it's app data. It is safe to do this and your files won't be affected because of this.
3. APP AUTOMATICALLY READS OTP WITHOUT SMS PERMISSION
You'll often see that some apps automatically fill in the OTP when you are setting it up for the 1st time. And this happens even without having permission to read your SMS or notifications.
REASON: These apps utilise Google Play Services for this purpose. Don't worry, they can't read your other sms without the required permission.
4. APP AUTOMATICALLY SENDS NOTIFICATION WITHOUT INTERNET ACCESS
You'll often see some apps post a notification right after an update (or even at other times) even if the app doesn't have internet permission.
REASON: These apps utilise Google Play Services for this purpose. Don't worry, they can't access internet if you have blocked the same using a firewall.
5. TOO MANY ADS

6.BLOCK POP-UP NOTIFICATIONS
7.BLANK THUMBNAILS
8.LAGGING, HEATING, BATTERY DRAIN
