Tech TalkAs an electronics technician with years of experience, what worried me most was the overheating issue. My S24 Ultra was getting noticeably hot—even with a Spigen case on—and that kind of prolonged heat can seriously affect the PCB, internal components, and even accelerate display degradation over time. For a premium flagship device, that's just unacceptable.
What made it worse was, I had forgotten to take extended warranty this time, so the risk felt even higher. The anxiety over damaging such an expensive device pushed me to withdraw from the beta and roll back to the stable version. I ended up giving the S24 to my sister, and in the end, I forcefully picked up the S25—honestly, not out of excitement, but more from the need to have a reliable device again. Maybe it's the Android and Snapdragon fan in me that still wanted to give it a shot.
But this whole beta experience has left a sour taste. Samsung really needs to rethink how they manage beta programs, especially when it comes to communication, update frequency, and most importantly—device safety.
Next time I see a beta invite, I’m most likely skipping it. I’d rather wait a bit longer and enjoy my device worry-free than go through this again.
