Samsung Pay: It is indeed a relief to get a reliable, safe, secure platform which can be used to transact money and handle financial requirements. Samsung Pay indeed supports most of the requirements like supporting UPI / BHIM based payments, QR Code Scan, add virtual wallets like Paytm, freecharge, MobKwik and the facility add your Credit / Debit Cards for virtual & physical use. Samsung Pay boasts the Knox Security which has three to four layer Security features making the hacker community difficult to break in and tamper with your personal data. In my last few years I only faced one such attack which literally got hold of my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone. The hacker also prompted using my virtual credit card saved in my Samsung Pay, but luckily the bid got foiled due to immediate action from my end requesting my Credit Card Company to block the Credit Card immediately. The case was shared with Samsung Pay who also checked & verified the attempted breach. After long discussion they arrived to conclude that the Security features played their part and thus making it a reliable platform.
I am currently using Samsung Pay for BHIM / UPI Payments and find the platform robust. However, there are few areas where the platform may enhance their service criteria. For E.g
1. adding few more players for virtual wallets like Phone pay, Oxygen, etc.
2. Tracing of nearby stores who are available to transact on virtual platform using via phone location / GPS.
3. History of transactions that have been made.
4. Catching the correct name incase the bank accounts have been linked. (In my case the system is still catching an incorrect name & not my name and no action despite info being sent on the system).
5. Option to get live chat with a customer care executive incase reqd.
6. Avoid Chinese based / funded apps, wallets etc.
So these are the few points I would suggest more incase it can be included.
Conclusion: Overall I rate the Samsung Pay as a user friendly, robust, safe and secure application for day to day financial transactions and a reliable platform to send / receive money.
